New McMini sandwiches offer customer big taste satisfaction in small package


TORONTO, ON (March 31, 2010) – Believe it or not, size really does matter at McDonald’s.  The newest addition to the McDonald’s menu combines gourmet flavours and quality ingredients into a miniature-sized sandwich, proving that good things really do come in small packages. 

First launched in Quebec as a limited-time offer, McMini™ sandwiches made their national debut this week. 
“Canadian customers demand variety, quality and convenient menu items without sacrificing on taste,” says Anne Parks, Director of Menu Management, McDonald’s Canada. “We received such positive feedback on the McMini from the Quebec market that, in the spirit of listening to our customers, it was only natural to extend the product offering to other parts of the country.”

The McMini sandwiches are available at participating McDonald’s restaurants across the country. Served on a fresh, mini bakery-style baguette, McMini sandwiches are offered with the choice of crispy or grilled seasoned all-white chicken breast and feature two gourmet sauces – Spicy Thai and Pesto. At only $1.99 plus applicable taxes per sandwich, even the price is miniature.

“The McMini delivers great value and gourmet flavours such as Pesto and Spicy Thai, new taste profiles we’ve never offered before as part of our sandwich line-up on the national menu at McDonald’s,” says Parks.
