McDonald's celebrates McDelivery™ Day worldwide

July 26, 2017

TORONTO, ON (July 26, 2017) – Canadians can now have McDonald’s® food delivered where they want it, when they want it through a partnership with UberEATS! Today is a worldwide moment, celebrating McDelivery around the globe. In Canada, there will be a McDelivery Bench popping up in select and secret locations in Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Edmonton where people can order their favourite meals and enjoy a limited supply of the McDelivery Collection.

McDelivery with UberEATS is just one way that McDonald’s Canada is enhancing the guest experience through added convenience. McDonald’s continues to transform the restaurant experience through the addition of self-order kiosks, table service and digital menu boards.

Global McDelivery Day is McDonald’s way of celebrating the availability of McDelivery in more than 7,800 restaurants and 47 countries around the world.

McDelivery with UberEATS has generated lots of interest and love from Canadians. Attached are some facts since it launched earlier this month.

ABOUT McDonald’s® Canada
In 1967, Canadians welcomed the first McDonald’s restaurant to Richmond, British Columbia. Today, McDonald’s Restaurants of Canada Limited has become part of the Canadian fabric, serving close to three million guests every day. Together with our franchisees, we proudly employ nearly 90,000 people from coast-to-coast and approximately 85 per cent of McDonald’s 1,400 Canadian restaurants are locally owned and operated by independent entrepreneurs. Of the almost $1 billion we spend on food, more than 85 per cent is purchased from suppliers in Canada.

UberEATS is Uber's stand-alone meal delivery app that makes getting food as easy as requesting a ride, whether you're at home, the office, or the park. Uber is leveraging its technology and expanding its delivery partner network to deliver food to hungry customers who can track their order, customize their drop off, and use the same account they use to take rides. UberEATS is available in more than 100 cities in all inhabitable continents around the globe.
