Jacques Mignault

President & Chief Executive Officer

Jacques Mignault, President & Chief Executive Officer, McDonald's Restaurants of Canada, is responsible for the business operations in more than 1,400 McDonald's restaurants across Canada. As a leader, Jacques is focused on driving significant business results through a culture of collaboration, a passion for People and Guests, and perfect execution.

Jacques got his start in the business in 1975 as crew in a Montreal McDonald's restaurant, quickly advancing into more senior roles. In 2001, he was named Regional Vice President for Eastern Canada and Senior Vice President in 2005. In 2009, Jacques relocated to Toronto to become Chief Operating Officer, where he was responsible for delivering a memorable and differentiated guest experience in McDonald's restaurants in communities across Canada.

In 2017, Jacques was promoted to Managing Director of McDonald's Switzerland. During his three years in the role, he successfully led the turnaround of the Swiss market to achieve record results. Among his team’s accomplishments were growing a sustainable talent pipeline, creating the Experience of the Future by modernizing the restaurants and advancing the digital and McDelivery experience to grow the business and meet the needs of the Swiss consumer.

Giving back to the community has always been a big priority for Jacques. He has dedicated his time to supporting McDonald's charitable efforts, including Ronald McDonald House Charities and local Ronald McDonald Houses in Canada and Switzerland. In addition, he is a member of the Executive committee and Chair of the Human Resources & Compensation Committee for the Breakfast Club of Canada, a cause very dear to his heart. In 2005, Sports-Québec recognized his support of sports development in Quebec by appointing him Commander of the Order of the Jeux du Québec.

Jacques is excited to be home with his wife Micheline and to their children Olivier, Alexandre and Gabrielle – and grandson Christophe.
